4+ Kidswear Designers Killing it in Womenswear

Ever wish children’s clothing came in adult sizes? Now it does! As kidswear designers expand their ranges to offer similar styles in women’s sizes, adults can take advantage of the same incredible design talents their children enjoy. In alphabetical order, here’s a list of some of our favourites!

Bobo Choses: If twinning with mini is your thing, the muted colours of Bobo Choses SS17 collection A Legend are very grown up, indeed. I love the maxi skirts, boxy tops, and of course, the scarves.

Cavalier: Who says the kids should have all the fun? Cavalier’s quirk finds a welcome audience with chic parents the world over. From slouchy trousers to their iconic Pasche dress, adults have plenty of options to stand out from the crowd.

Nico Nico: Recreate California cool in crisp linens and oversized silhouettes with the women’s collection from Nico Nico. Stand outs include elegant kimonos, effortlessly stylish shirt dresses, and relaxed tops.

Tia Cibani: It’s not at all surprising that Tia Cibani, the former Ports 1961 Creative Director who also bagged Fashion Group International’s Rising Star Award for her eponymous womenswear line, continues to offer bold, voluminous styles for women through international retailers in Asia and the Middle East.

Now for those women who on the petite side, I’d be remiss not to highlight brands offering sizes up to 16 or 18. You could hardly find more sophisticated styles from Les Coyotes de Paris, Mummymoon, and Tuchinda. So while not technically offering womenswear, for some women, they’re definitely a possibility—and ahem, motivation for the rest of us!
