A Musical Journey with Atelier Parsmei

“Is there a more beautiful expression of what is good in this country of ours than the innocent voices of our children?”

Since their premier capsule collection last season, Atelier Parsmei has celebrated the special bond between parent and child. Darshana Salvisberg, founder, believes in dressing both the mother and the child in sustainable luxury that not only respects the future but also cares for the present.

Inspired by the The Sound of Music, Atelier Parsmei’s AW20 Collection brings back the fond memories of the von Trapp family’s adventures.

One glimpse of the collection is all it takes to return us to the lush Austrian hills of 1966. With hints of white of the purest snow, deep blues of the midnight view, mossy greens of the Salzburg valleys, and the birch hues of the swinging trees, this second collection hits all the right notes of storytelling.

While the colour palette invokes images of rugged Austria, the floral jacquard prints and green damask recreate the uber-elegant lifestyle of the von Trapp’s. The combination of organic cotton, cashmere and silk signifies the perfect blend of the resilient outdoors and the delicate indoors.

The chunky box pleats highlight the 1950s vibe, while the empire waistlines and ruffled details bring out the femininity of the collection. The oversized bows are embroidered with Do Re Mi Fa So La Si Do (hopefully to keep the joyful tune of the song playing repeatedly in your mind!).

Atelier Parsmei has ensured that high fashion meets sustainability without compromising on either of the facets of the collection. Music is an education, and Atelier Parsmei wants you to have fun while you learn. So dress the part and invite the spirit of Maria von Trapp, for your heart will be blessed with the sound of music, and you will sing once more.
