Enter Mr Klee's garden with RaspberryPlum

Inspired by the Swiss artist, the SS20 collection takes us to a world where color is king.

RaspberryPlum pays homage to the highly individual style of the artist Paul Klee. His work was very varied and his use of color and shape was a significant source of inspiration.

The collection features two prints: one is a floral print painted in the style of his linear shape painting such as Signs of Growth, 1937. The other print is painted in the style of his landscape and city paintings such as Window, 1917-1919.

This season the embroideries and applique feature slogans such as ‘A line is a dot that went for a walk’ which is a Paul Klee quote, and also ‘Life is sweet’, ‘Sweet for my Sweets’ which communicate the visuals of embroidered sweets in the style of Paul Klee.

The colors of the collection are bright and fresh featuring candy pinks, lemon yellows, deep oranges, strong blues, blush pinks and soft beige tones.
Lace is used in sportswear, taking the fabric out of its usual context. Multicolor lurex jersey is used for premium tracksuit sets. Iridescent shell fabric can be seen on elegant sports jackets, vintage running shorts and sports sets. 1960s silhouettes are clearly visible in colorful shift dresses and boys jacket and shorts sets.

The highlight of the collection are the oversized, layered tulle dresses in pink and blue versions with detailed embroidery. The silhouette is exaggerated, yet wearable and elegant. A selection of socks with strong placement graphics complete the overall look.

After a break of one season, RaspberryPlum is once again presenting a boys’ collection which consists primarily of jacket and shorts sets and matching t-shirts.
