SCHIKANEDER: the new FW17 collection by Hilda.Henri
Hilda.Henri FW17 new collection named SCHIKANEDER is captivating. Inspired by the world of opera, it is surrounded by an enigmatic aura - an exciting place where feelings and desires are getting so powerful that there's no other way than to start singing.
Incited through their daughter - deeply in love with Mozart - Verena and Mirkus, founders of the brand, got fascinated by the magic, rich history and tradition of opera in Vienna - especially in the district where Hilda.Henri is located: the birthplace of the "Magic Flute" is just around the corner.
To all dramaqueens and -kings who feel addressed by this "bigger than life": you're welcome!
WHAT IS NEW
The characteristic Hilda.Henri hand-painted prints emphasize the dramatic theme. Gentle natural tones like grey, brown and off-white alternate with explosions of bright colors.
Hilda Henri's unique feature, the boiled wool, presents itself in a new face, shimmering golden or gleaming in strong signal colors like yellow and cobalt blue. The brand has extended its range: blouses and shirts from soft popelin can be combined with the jumpers, skirts and pants as a whole outfit.
BRAND'S SPIRIT AND BACKGROUND
The brand maintains the spirit of slow fashion and emphasize on sustainable and fair production. Hilda.Henri partners are old-established family businesses with a longtime knowledge - settled in between the mountains and nature.
All collections are mainly manufactured in Austria, following the rules of a traditional handcraft. It is Verena's and Mirkus' dream that their garments take on an important role in families‘ lives and get passed along from child to child. The young label from Vienna goes its own way in many respects.
Hilda.Henri has been awarded for its FW17collection by MilK Award at Playtime Tokyo and will be launched on the 5th of August, only one day before their participation to Playtime New-York (booth K14) from August 6 to 8.
